Heather Fitzsimmons Frey
Heather Fitzsimmons Frey is an Associate Professor in Arts and Cultural Management at MacEwan University in Edmonton. Her primary focus in the arts and cultural sector is young people. Using archives, qualitative research methods like interviews and focus groups, performance-based historiography and practice-based creative methodologies, her projects have been supported by SSHRC, MacEwan Research Services, and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts. She is currently a co-investigator in the SSHRC-funded Gatherings: Archival and Oral histories of Canadian Performance (Principal Investigator: Stephen Johnson).

Tania Gigliotti is the Project Manager on the Young People are the Future project and is also Communications Manager at YouthWrite Society Canada. She received her diploma in Arts & Cultural Management from MacEwan University in 2020 and has now entered the degree program. She co-wrote “Let’s Do the Time Warp Again: Youth Interpreters at Fort Edmonton Park Performing Possibilities across Time” (2021) and “Time Traveling Girls: How girl volunteers at Fort Edmonton Park create activism” (2022).

Madison Francoeur is a fourth-year Bachelor of Fine Arts student at MacEwan University, majoring in Arts and Cultural Management. She completed the AACM diploma in 2022. Madison has been an Indigenous Peoples and Education Interpreter at Fort Edmonton Park since May 2022.
